I really, really, really don't want to be disappointed with the finale of Season 4, as it was 50 different flavors of awesomesauce and then some. But being the bookwalker that I am, I am a bit disappointed that they didn't make the final scene like it was in the book.
Guess I can't be too broken hearted about it. As I said, it was 50 different flavors of amazingness and I'm not going to let one thing that's probably going to be saved for next season ruin it for me. I loved every second of it, so I can't complain too much and I really don't want to be a "But that doesn't follow the books!" guy, which would be too *EFF!*ing late to do at this point anyway.
Still, for those of you who have read A Storm of Swords, imagine how much the "Holy Shit Quotient" would have been raised if they had included that epilogue at the end of this season... (Although, now that I think about it, it will be even more so if it occurs at the end of next season)
(As another aside, it is oh so hilarious that of all days, this episode aired on Father's Day...)
