Opinion?
I still haven't read them but I wonder if they are good reads. Are they good for any reader or pretty much for girls/kids?

They're decent. In some ways, they could be actual episodes.
They're obviously written for 7+, but there's some good bits.
Of the 4 that are out, I'd say Pinkie's is the best, mostly because it deals with her parents. Rarity's is pretty good as well. And Dash's is great except for it's ending. Twilight's is alright, but it's themes are better shown in "Princess Twilight Sparkle" and "Twilight's Kingdom". Plus it has a post-reformed Trixie working with Gilda for some reason.
They do provide some world building. But it's like the comics, easily ignored if you wish and of course, if there's a contradiction between them and the show, the show wins. Hasn't been too many though.
Don't expect great literature, but for tie-in books for kids, they're pretty good.

Yeah, Pinkie's is the best so far.
Twilights was good, and I did like it, but it coulda been better.
