It is interesting. I have a collection of pulp mags like Amazing Stories and Astounding from 1935-1960 in reasonable shape. They're not worth exceptionally much though. Now COMICS from the same time through the Silver Age can be worth a fortune. Dammit.

Thats because everyone threw away the comics, and everyone kept the pulp mags.
Astounding was pretty good, IMO.

Yeah. Then that government inquiry and Comics Code Authority in the 50s probably incited people to dispose of comics in mass.
There are some good pulps. I think some scifi concepts we see in Star Trek and such actually originated in them.

Nah, the golden age comics were mostly recycled due to the war.
They actually had ads in the back saying that you should throw away the comics, so that they could be used to make stuff for the war effort.
